Jere C. Thompson, 80, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2013. He was preceded in death by two brothers Virgil and Newton Thompson. Jere leaves his wife of 54 years, Ora Sue Thompson, one daughter, Kathleen Thompson of Memphis, two sons, Ronald Thompson (Betty) of Somerville, TN, Walter Thompson (Beverly) of Johnson City, TN, one sister, Betty Leverette of Fairfax, VA, and two grandsons, Tyler and Chandler Thompson. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m., on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Evangel Church with interment to follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
