Jesus Martinez was an amazing young man! It was an honor & blessing to be in his life as his teacher and coach. The way Jesus lived and his approach towards life in general still resonates with me to this day. Jesus Martinez was an intelligent, hard-working, selfless, determined young man--the sky was never the limit for him. You will be greatly missed.

Jesus was a funny, bright, and sweet person 🤍 I had the privilege of meeting Jesus three years ago while playing badminton. Later on, I played ping pong with him from time to time (he would always win against me😆). He had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. 
Jonny, Jesus and I studied together a few times-  I’m sure he probably heard my snores often because I’d always end up napping in the commuters lounge lol. I’ll never forget when we played Mario cart at the LLC or when you complimented my music taste even though it was Jonny’s Spotify hehe. 
Thank you for all those small yet sweet memories Jesus. He was a great friend, brother, and son and loved by many🤍 we will miss you a lot.

Jesus, I miss you so much every day that you’re not here. I miss our late-night talks where we would stay up until 5 in the morning talking about nonsense. I miss the jokes and references that only we knew. It felt like we shared a brain sometimes. There would be times when we would see something funny, and you would say out loud the exact words I was thinking in my brain. I miss our dumb texts with the weird funny videos we would share there and the weird personas you would take on in your texts (usually when you wanted a favor for or me to buy you something). I always loved it when you tagged along with me to places. It’s scary going on my own sometimes, and I miss you a lot. You were my little brother, but you always felt like a big brother. You always tried to protect me, like when I got in trouble with mom when we were little, and you always came to my defense because you hated seeing me cry. That has never changed about you. You’ve always been so generous and kind, putting others before you, even if it came at your own expense. Now I always ask myself “what would Jesus do?”. The world needs more people with a heart like yours

Jesus, I just want to take the time to thank you for being such an incredible friend. I will never forget your kindness, sense of humor, and selflessness. Thank you for always showing up and helping me, even when you were busy. I will forever cherish all the times we played Table Tennis, and had long conversations and gossip sessions. You always made everyone around you laugh and you were always someone I could count on. I will forever miss you and your presence. Love you bro ❤️🫶

These were my students- the boys who I could count on. They were a solid group of friends who looked out for one another...cared for one another. Jesus was a great presence in this team. And its unimaginable to think that this group of friends will never be the same again.

I look at this photo over and over again, thinking about how special this Christmas was. It was the last Christmas we spent all together. I remember how excited I was that we had found the Psyduck for you. The way your eyes lit up when you saw that the biggest gift was yours. It is a memory I will cherish forever. 

The amount of words we exchanged between us were not a lot. Yet, I have known you since you were in middle school. I watched little you dance on stage. I became best friends with Kathy and I learned what a great brother you are. I watched you grow up and follow my brother around. Thank you for harassing him and loving him so much. 

Thank you Chucho, for lighting up the people around you. For being you, and for always living boldly. I will see you everywhere, in my brother, in Kathy, in your family, and friends. You are infinite ❤️

My beautiful sweet baby brother,the days when you were so little are engraved in my soul,the last conversation we had and the plans we talked about making,Road tripping to Colorado and then California to see Silvia,it’s a pain that’ll never go away knowing I’ll never get the chance to build more memories with you. Holding on to every second shared like it’s my last breath. There’s a gaping hole inside of my heart wanting you to come back but I know you’re at peace now and no longer in any pain and for that I’m grateful. I hope you have the most beautiful wings in heaven and are surrounded by so much love and peace. Thank you for the last super tight hug and the I love you sis,there was so much said that day and I’m grateful for that now more than ever. I love you Jesus. I loved you from the moment i knew you were a boy our first brother im blessed to have so many memories with you and the times you worked with me and how we were struggling building those ikea furniture, of the day i hit the car in front of me and you told me you'd take the fault for me if the police was called thank God we got away with that one And the ONE thing i will always have in my heart is the day you told me you would give my daughter Esperanza one of your kidneys and we joked around and you said dont i have 2 ill be ok and the many times you came from work and how you would always get down and give me hugs and a plate of chicken alfredo ❤️ i will forever miss you 💞
