Joan Jackson Killian, age 95, of Memphis, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. Joan was born August 23, 1924 in Trumann, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Killian.
Joan loved the outdoors and found gratification in gardening. She raised various types of flowers in her garden but her favorite flower was the Iris. The Iris, which symbolizes wisdom, hope, trust and valor also represented some of Joan's characteristics. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church.
She leaves to cherish her memories two step-brothers, Charles and James Bradshaw; one niece, Carol Perkins; two nephews, Richard (Vicki) Perkins and Michael Perkins; her Kirby Pines Manor caretakers, family and friends.
A visitation for Joan will be held Monday, July 20, 2020 from 1:00 p.m until 2:00 p.m with services immediately following at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee 38122. The interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119.
