Joan Bedwell Zinn

Joan Bedwell Zinn, 80, of Memphis, TN went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Joan was born on December 28, 1931 in Water Valley, MS. She was the daughter of the late Epsie William Bedwell and Christine McCullar Bedwell and spent most of her life in Memphis. She was an active member of Bellevue Baptist Church and she retired from Kraft Foods. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Harry Edmond Zinn, Sr. She is survived by her son Harry Edmond Zinn, Jr. of Sherman Oaks, CA and two daughters Christy Zinn Trammell and her husband Scott of Franklin, TN, and Sherry Margaret Zinn of Memphis, TN. She is also survived by her "pride and joy" grandson, Shea Scott Trammell and one brother, James Bedwell and his wife Jean of Maumelle, AR and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue from 5-7 p.m. on Friday evening, August 31. Her life celebration will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Ave at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 1. She will be laid to rest alongside her late husband at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Tuesday, September 4 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
