John S. Woods

John S. Woods, 64, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Halton and Memory Woods, son, Jason Woods and siblings, Mark Woods and Sue Schaffer. Mr. Woods is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Wanda K. Woods, daughter, Jessica McInvale, and siblings, Yvonne Taylor, Diane Loyed, Mark Woods, Butch Woods and Terry Woods. Mr. Woods served proudly in the US Army in the early 70’s. He worked for Methodist Hospital for over 30 years. He also attended Hope Presbyterian Church. Mr. Woods loved to go camping, tend to his flowers garden, cook and of course ride his motorcycle. The family invites friends and relatives to share remembrances of Mr. Woods on Tuesday, April 18th from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Avenue in Memphis. A funeral will be held on Wednesday at two o’clock in the afternoon also at the funeral home. The burial will follow, via an escorted cortege, at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh La Grange Road in Memphis.
