Skipper, a double lung transplant patient, had 7 years with the gift of a new pair of lungs. Thanks to her donor she traveled with her “Rock,” her husband Richard, spent time at her lake place, got a new puppy played bunco, bowled, entertained friends in her beautiful home, and even put up a Christmas tree every year. She fought the good fight until The Lord called her home.
She leaves her husband of 25 years, Richard Staggs and her sister, Nancy Howard (Micky) Byrd.
A visitation for Skipper will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Ave, Memphis, TN 38119.
A memorial service will occur Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1:00 PM, at St. Philip Episcopal Church, 9380 Davies Plantation Rd, Bartlett, TN 38133. A reception will follow.
