On January 27th, 2018, Janice Kim Litzow, wife to James and loving mother of James Ryan, Dan, Emily and Joe, passed on to a much better place. Kim shined a light upon all she came in contact with, one of warmth, kindness and love. We will forever remember fondly the care and compassion she showed every single being, always bringing a smile in both hard times and good. With Kim there was no bad, only ways in which to make the world a better place. She cherished the arts and delighted in time spent crafting jewelry. Kim was an incredibly caring and empathetic psychiatrist. She expertly applied her tremendous skill and compassion towards her most valued endeavor, caring for her loved ones. She loved her family dearly, especially the four-legged members. Without Kim, the world dimmed, but we know she would want us to carry her light forward. That is exactly what we will do.
Kim is also survived by her mother, Silvi Forrest, her brother Bill Forrest, her step-mother Linda Forrest, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the Litzow family kindly requests that donations be made to the Memphis Humane Society in her memory. There will be a memorial service at the Memphis Funeral Home, located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, on Thursday February 1st, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
