Kristen Carol Fundo, 35, a radiant light and a fiercely passionate soul, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. Born on February 12, 1990, in Memphis, Kristen lived every moment with a fiery passion, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Kristen was the cherished wife of Michael Fundo, the love of her life and her steadfast partner. Their bond was a beautiful testament to love, bringing endless joy, comfort, and shared dreams to every moment they spent together. She was an adoring and devoted mother to her daughter, Kaydence, and a caring and supportive stepmother to Mikayla and Brayden. Her family was the epitome of her world, and her boundless love for them shone through in everything she did. Kristen is also survived by her mother, Nancy Carol Howard; her sister, Lauren Albonetti (Anthony); and a broad circle of extended family and friends who treasured her deeply.
A dedicated and compassionate assistant teacher, Kristen found her calling in the 2K program at Christ Methodist Day School. She had a gift for nurturing young minds, and her passion for education was matched only by her unwavering love for the little ones in her care. She brought warmth, laughter, and a sense of wonder into her classroom, and her enduring spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.
Kristen’s vibrant personality was unmistakable—her spunky style, her love of music, and her voice that could brighten any room were just a few of the ways she celebrated life. She embraced life with enthusiasm, singing at every opportunity, and filling the lives of those around her with melody, light, and a bright smile. Her friendships were defined by loyalty and genuine connection, and her infectious laughter could lift the spirits of anyone nearby.
Her faith, love, and boundless spirit will be carried forward by all who loved her. Kristen’s tribute to life is one of joy, compassion, and an ever-present reminder to live life fully and love deeply.
