I saw you on your porch one Sunday morning. You was looking so beautiful, I had to stop and give you a compliment. We became friends after that. I would feed you whenever I cooked. You loved potato salad, I made sure you had plenty. I took care of you until my back went out and then the pandemic came. I will miss you dearly. God was waiting for you and you had to go. You got your wings and now you're flying high. So long Lady Rucker until we meet again.

My Dear Sister Rucker, you will be sorely missed. Thank you very much, for living a life that blessed so many across the globe…of all ages. I’m grateful to God that we were of the many. You presented God’s awesomeness in everything that you did; through simple conversation, a warm hug, your smile, or, a shared meal…topped off with one of your delicious cakes made from scratch. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You…Your Crown Awaits!

God let your presence grace this earth for 103 years. During that time you touched many lives with your love, compassion, caring, cooking and baking. There are no words to describe how much I miss you, but I know that you are no longer suffering any pain. So many times these last six months you told me that you wanted to go “home” and I’d say “you are home, Gramma.” You would just point up toward the sky and blink your eyes a few times. Gramma, I know that you are “home” now, in a much better place that the Lord has prepared for you.

It was a blessing and a joy to take care of you until your very last breath. I will forever hold on to everything you instilled in me and cherish your memory for life. You prepared me for this day and made me promise to never leave. You always said it would be me and you until the end and you got your wish Gramma. I was blessed to be able to give you your flowers while you were here. You are so missed. I can't express that enough. Love you forever. Your "Baby"

I loved you from the first time that I met you. They would always call me your twin, the older I got I could see it really good. I called you one day and you told me, I'm glad I answered because when my picture is on I don't talk to no one. We had a beautiful talk that day. I'm going to miss you but I know that you are in a beautiful place. Love you Aunt Gaye
