Dear sweet friend  ,neighbor and texting buddy. Thank you for being a light in my life. I will definitely miss you driving by my house blowing your horn and smiling as you did for over twenty years. I know  you and your mother, Barbara  are both walking hand in hand and singing and dancing in Gods heavenly angelic choir.

Will miss the conversations we had when something was bothering you and after I told you what you should do,  you would always say " that's what my mom said." After hearing about your passing, you have been on my heart and mind heavily. You exemplified all the qualities of being a great wife, friend, colleague, and overall a great woman. Your beautiful, contagious smile and acts of kindness and compassion towards me (and others) in the time of need were unmatched. 

The love you have shown towards us and our children said a lot about your character. Your sweet, kind, and gentle spirit will be missed. The workplace will not be the same without you; I will miss complimenting you, having small talks, and occasionally tagging along with you and Deborah E. for lunch.

To Lisa's family, I hope God gives you all the strength, comfort, guidance, and understanding to get through this difficult time. I pray you all continue to have hope and faith in God.

Lisa I just can't believe you are gone...…  the last time I text you was on September 27th and I was checking on you and your mom and you stated you wasn't feeling well and I said Lisa get you some rest and she was like ok and to now know that you will be resting.  I am truly missing you and my heart is very heavy.  You was my lunch buddy and you would text me since we are working AWS and ask was I coming in so we could have lunch together :-)  I am glad I have shared this time with you and you will never be forgotten in my heart. When I first started working for the State, you were a friendly face and spirit that welcomed me instantly.  We sat across from each other, and quickly became friends that had each other's back. We had so much in common and liked the same things. I am going to miss you talking about them ox tails, which was one of your favorites and mine! 

When I needed to know something or showed something, you were there for me. Some of my fondness memories were our breaks and lunchtime stories and talks. We would always check to see what each other brought for lunch, swap lunches at times, or would go and grab something to eat when you came from seeing your mom. You knew my routine and I knew yours. Who will walk out of work with me now? I have been avoiding going to the office since your passing because I don't want the reality to sit in that you will no longer be there. 

You became Auntie Lisa to my children, whom you showed love too and spoiled tremendously. I still don't know how to tell them that Auntie Lisa will no longer be at the office, and that she is gone in the physical sense. I do know that I will feel your presence around me when I am there. I know that we showed each other how much we cared about each other while you were here. I am so glad that I got the opportunity to gain an angel like you. 

I will miss you dearly. I will miss your smile, your kind demeanor, your thoughtfulness, and your laughter. I will take from our friendship, your willingness to forgive, not to sweat the small stuff, always keeping family first, loving and cherishing my parents daily and doing whatever I can for them while they are here on earth, and always being centered in God. I pray that God strengthens your dear husband and your family during this time of bereavement. 

I love you sis!! I will miss you dearly. You will forever hold a spot in our hearts. My family and I will never forget Auntie Lisa!

Never would I have expected to receive an email sharing the news of your passing. You had such a warm heart and kind spirit, you will definitely be missed. Rest, well!!

You are truly going to be missed, we have been close friends since 1972.  I felt like we were sisters, we grew up in the same church as teenagers, sung in the same church choir, shared our personal lives, shared our Mommas, and lastly we worked together all these years.  

Lisa I spoke to you last on 9-15-2021 and that next week I could not reach you by phone, text, or email so I had planned to go by your house and your momma house to make sure you were alright, before I got that chance to go by I got an email saying you had passed.  I immediately was lost for words, it was hard to swallow and still is.   I  cannot believe you left me without calling me because we talked by text, phone,  or email everyday no matter what time of day.  

Lisa my heart is heavy, words cannot describe the loss I feel, saying  "Farwell" to a close friend,  has been very hard to do.  I honor who you were with memories- kind and devoted to whatever you set out to do, you always went above and beyond.   One thing I do know you loved your church.   

Lisa I will hold you in my heart until in Heaven again we meet.  I was touched by your kindness and love.   So I say "goodbye for now" go and walk the streets of gold singing praises to God.  One day I will be there to share eternity.

We worked together for so many years but I always considered you as family. You had my back and I had your back when you would listen to me😂. 
I can’t believe you left me and did not call me back after your Mom went to be with our Savior. I know you didn’t want to hear from me another time about retiring to enjoy your life! You always did 150% of what was expected  of you and always took on the work of others in order to achieve successful outcomes. I am truly missing you so much, and the others  in our crew as well ( Greer,Pat, Priscillá, Shirley, Kizzie, Erma, Eva, Edna, Hazel, Cofield, Bobbie T , Calvin, Edna, Teresa G. and so many others to numerous to name).  The Shelby County Volunteer Support Committee has continued through your efforts to keep it going.  
Lisa, you will always be loved and cherished  in our memories  of you  (especially every February when we both celebrated our birth into this world! ❤️😢🥲❤️
