Lorna Lanell Kenley

Lorna Lanell Kenley, 86, of Collierville, Tennessee, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 5, 2015. Mrs. Kenley was a graduate of Steele High School, Class of 1947 where she was the star basketball player. She was a bookkeeper by trade, an avid sports fan and member of the White Station Church of Christ. There will be a gathering for family and friends on Sunday, November 8 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue. Funeral services will be on Monday, November 9 beginning at 10AM at White Station Church of Christ, 1106 Colonial Road, Memphis, TN 38117. Burial will follow at 2:30pm at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, MO. Mrs. Kenley was preceded in death by her husband Urban Kenley, daughter Nancy Kenley, her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her daughter Becky Kenley; son Gary Kenley; sister June Fisher; brother Wayne Southern; grandchildren Andrew Kenley, Karli Watson, and Spencer Kenley; two great-grandchildren Titus Watson & Jack Kenley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Monetary gifts may be given to White Station Church of Christ, Baptist Reynolds Hospice House or the Parkinson’s Foundation in Lanell’s name.
