Gin was born June 14, 1933 and grew up on a cotton and dairy farm
in Piperton,Tennessee. After graduating from Collierville High School, she
began the bookkeeping and business work that would stead her well her entire life.
She proved herself to be a dedicated and diligent employee throughout her
working career, having begun after graduation at Hart’s Manufacturing in Collierville
and finished at Christian Brothers University in the Business Office. In the meantime,
she also worked at Goldsmith’s (now Macy’s) and Saint Francis Hospital.
In addition to being a hard worker, Gin was a devoted friend to many and
a member of the Methodist Church. A fun-loving and giving individual, she had
a great sense of humor. Quite the fashionista, she was always on the go. When at
home, she enjoyed the company of her small dogs.
Thank you to all those who have cared for her during her convalescence
of the last five years. There will be no funeral service at this time. In the coming
weeks, there may be a memorial service to celebrate her life.
