Martha Ann Lyon, 93, of Bartlett, born in Myrtle, MS, November 2, 1927, passed away very peacefully December 11, 2020, at The King’s Daughters and Sons Home. She was retired from the restaurant business with over 60 years of service. Her last 30+ years were with Jim’s Place, whom she often considered her “other family”. She was a member of Trafalgar Village Baptist Church in Memphis. She is survived by sons John Archer (Sandra) of Providence Forge, VA, Dennis Lyon (Cheryl) of Bartlett, TN, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Katie Rowland, her husband of 64 years, Ottis Lyon, brother Charles Rowland, sister Stella Holloway, and sons Gerald Archer and Richard Lyon.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, December 16 at 2:00 p.m. at Memphis Memory Gardens. Mrs. Lyon loved her church but had not been able to attend in recent years due to health issues. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Trafalgar Village Baptist Church Building Fund.
