Mavis will be remembered as a loving wife to her husband of 62 years Robert Gay. Mavis will forever hold a special place in the hearts of her three sons, Ronnie, Randy, and Ricky as well as their many friends who had the experience of growing up in her presence. Mavis was a loving mema to Robby, Jenna, Rachel, Chris, Kameryn & Gabby, and the family’s most recent addition, Jensen, her great grandson. Mavis is survived by her brothers, Noel and Norris. She was preceded by her parents Thurman and Ethel Lee and her brother and sisters, Neil, Noma, and Mary. Mavis’ family will receive guests and friends on Monday, March 4, 2013 from 4PM – 8PM and funeral services will be on Tuesday, March 5 beginning at 10AM all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens located at 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.
