Melba was the most selfless individual and always put others before herself throughout her life. She dealt with many health issues over the past few years but continued to keep her focus on the Lord and relied heavily on her faith.
She was a lifetime member at Bellevue Baptist Church and always loved and prioritized reading her bible. Melba also enjoyed gardening, photography and birdwatching.
Melba was married to her husband Gerald Bennett for 49 years before he passed in 2015. She is survived by her nephew, Josh Tanner, and her niece, Rachel Hudson. Her kind spirit and selfless character will be missed by all.

A graveside service for Melba will follow at1:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.
