

She was born on April 1, 1938, in Macon, Tennessee, and graduated from Messick High School in 1956. In 1959, she met the love of her life, Larry Martin Knox, at Union Avenue Church of Christ. They married on October 15, 1960, at the very church where they first met, beginning 65 years of a devoted marriage.
Myrtice worked at the Memphis Cotton Council for many years until the birth of their second daughter, when she dedicated herself to being a full-time homemaker. She was an extraordinary cook, known especially for her famous chocolate pies. Her greatest joy was pouring her heart into caring for her family. A faithful servant of the Lord, she was an active member of Woodland Hills Church of Christ. Her love for her family and her faith were the guiding lights of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Broadie and Madie Hunsucker; her son-in-law, Brad Towe; and her nephew, David Wallace.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Larry Martin Knox; two daughters, Lisa Knox Greer and Cristi Knox Towe; four grandchildren, Knox Greer (fiancée Katelyn Morris), Erin Greer, Bradley Towe, and Avery Towe; her sister, Beverly Hutcheson (Don); and her niece, Cathy Wallace.
