Nell Shute Byrd, 92, of Memphis, beloved wife of John B. Byrd and devoted mother of Phyllis B. Luck, passed away on March 10, 2011. She is survived by her daughter Phyllis; her granddaughter Lauren; three great grandchildren, Jordan, Kaitlyn, and Ellie; her sister, Joyce Tate and several nieces and nephews. Nell lived a long, productive, and joyous life and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Memorial Park.
