Mr. Davis served the Tennessee Department of Human Services for 30 years, concluding his career as District Administrator of West TN. He was a proud alumnus of Memphis State University, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees, and cultivated lifelong friendships as a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. His passion for the Memphis Tigers was unrivaled, a testament to his enduring support for his alma mater.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna Berretta Davis, his children, Tom (Tori) Davis and Gina Davis, his grandson, Austin Davis, and his brother, Terry Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia McAnally Davis and Onslow Davis Sr., along with his sister, Linda Carol Leggett.
Mr. Davis was known for his kindness, strength, sense of humor, intelligence, and toughness. Above all, he was a devoted family man, treasuring the time spent with his loved ones and providing them with unwavering support and guidance.
The family invites those who knew and cherished Mr. Davis to attend the visitation, which will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM on June 29th. The funeral service will follow immediately after at 10:00 AM. Both will be held at St. Philip the Apostle Church, located at 11710 US-64, Somerville, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the Fayette County Animal Rescue, 555 Clement Drive, Rossville, Tennessee, or to the Madonna Learning Center, Catharine Berretta Scholarship Fund, 7007 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, Tennessee.
