Pat Hanks was born September 24, 1936, in Maysville, OK and went to be with her Savior March 18, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Richard K. and H. Juanita Garrison, her husband of 48 years, Jim Hanks, a son-in-law and two great grandsons.
Pat proudly graduated in the first class of Registered Nurses from the University of Oklahoma. Her nursing career was both in hospitals and a doctor’s office; however, her greatest joy was raising her three daughters and volunteering in their schools. During many summers, she served as both a nurse and deaf interpreter at youth camps. Wherever she lived, Pat was always active in her local church, most recently Crossroads Baptist. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided the way she cared and loved her family and served others. Since moving to The Farms at Bailey Station, she enjoyed attending social functions and dinners, playing mahjong and meeting new residents. She was always ready for a road trip to visit family, or a beach or mountain vacation.
Surviving family members left to cherish her memory include daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Everett Robinson of Laurel, MS., daughter Sandra McBride of Germantown, TN and daughter and son-in-law Dian and Mark Crain of Evans, GA; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren, as well as nieces, cousins and a beloved uncle.
A celebration of life service will be held in the Performing Arts Center at The Farms at Bailey Station, 3300 S. Houston Levee Road, Collierville, TN on March 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm with fellowship and refreshments following. At a later time, she will be laid to rest in Lindale, TX alongside the love of her life.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Fellowship of Christian Athletes (my.fca.org/AlexCrain).
