Richard "Mac" Vaughn McDaniel Sr.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Scott McDaniel of Piperton, Tennessee, his parents, Howard Cecil and Lake McDaniel, Memphis, Tennessee, two brothers, H. C. McDaniel Jr. of Batesville, MS, and William Wayne McDaniel, Sr., of Yreka, CA.

Survivors include his wife of over 49 years, Peggy George McDaniel, three sons, Rick McDaniel Jr. (Tina) of Piperton, Tennessee, Timothy L. McDaniel Sr., (Shawna) of Rincon. GA., and Jason Wayne McDaniel (Tracy) of Gainesboro, Tennessee. Nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Richard was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and had recently relocated to Gainesboro, Tennessee. He was an Electrician and retired from Federal Express Corporation. He was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church in Bartlett, Tennessee.

Richard loved fishing and camping with his boys. Loved the mountains and was an avid photographer. He was a Civil War enthusiast. He also was a Ham Operator.

Visitation will be held on December 1, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Faith Baptist Church, located at 3755 N Germantown Pkwy, Bartlett, TN 38133.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 2:50 pm.

A committal service will take place at Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm on the same day.
