Rita Louise Bartlett, age 85, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023. She was born June 14, 1937 in Ripley, Tennessee. She was a graduate of the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). She enjoyed teaching fourth grade and taught overseas, at various military bases.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Robert Bartlett. She is survived by her brother, Hal Roe (Andrea); nephew, Tommy Roe; and niece, Ann Classon.
At her request, there will not be a service. Memorial donations should be directed to the Humane Society of Memphis and Shelby County.
