Robert Michael French

Robert Michael French, of Memphis, Tennessee, departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Born on April 8, 1946 to Dorothy Townsley French and Edgbert Mack French, Bob grew up in Memphis, graduating from Treadwell High School and Memphis State University. Bob is survived by his mother, his six children, Stephen (Anna), Dee Anne Bland (Billy), Mark, Shane, Graham, and Robert, Jr., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchilden. Bob also leaves his sisters Carol Sherman (Gary) and Patricia, and brother Mark (Melva). Bob spent nearly his entire career in the transportation industry, during which he held various positions in California and Georgia as well as Tennessee. He loved listening to and playing music and was accomplished at playing several instruments, including the accordian, drums, and piano. Most of all, he loved his Lord and he loved his family. Services will be held at Family Funeral Care at 4925 Summer Avenue on Thursday, June 22nd. Visitation from 12 pm to 2 pm with services at 2 pm followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue. Any donations may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the donor's charity of choice.
