Ruby Liming Tapp was born in Benton County, Mississippi March 25, 1924 and peacefully departed this earth on May 28, 2018 in Knoxville, Tennessee, surrounded by loved ones. Mama Ruby will be remembered most for her sense of humor and love for her family. She was married for 53 years to Ruel Wade Tapp, who preceded her in death in 1995. Wade and Ruby were former owners of Tapp Lumber and Construction in Memphis, Tennessee. Ruby will be dearly missed by her two sisters, Annette Street and Twila Hanisco, her brother, Hugh Liming, four grandchildren, Tammy Pullen, Sandy Maxwell, Wade Harbin and John Harbin, five great-grandchildren, four great, great-grandchildren, and a multitude of adoring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wade, her daughter Diane Barnes, her two sons Ruel and Wayne, and brothers Gatha, Raymond & Earl Liming. A visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 12 -2 pm with a Celebration of Life service to begin at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
