Russell O'Neal Hardin

Russell O’Neal Hardin, 47, of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on November 10, 2025. Born and raised in Memphis, Russell had a lifelong love of learning and a natural gift for fixing just about anything. Following in his father’s footsteps, he worked as a mechanic and took great pride in his skill with small engines. If something was broken, Russell couldn’t resist taking it apart to figure out how it worked—and then putting it back together, often better than before.

Russell’s curiosity extended far beyond engines; he loved tinkering with computers, electronics, and anything that sparked his interest. His latest project, a motorized bike he built and rebuilt with care, perfectly reflected his creativity and determination.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Sarah; his parents, William Michael and Lynda Hardin; his brother, Shane; his nieces, Kristen and Jordan; his nephew, Jacob; and a large, loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, November 15 at Family Funeral Care 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN. Services will follow at 3:00pm.

Russell will be remembered for his kind heart, his sharp mind, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, generosity, and love.
