Ruth E. Spencer, 86, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Applingwood Health Center. Originally from Chester County, TN, Ruth moved to Memphis in 1955 with her husband and two children. Ruth was a homemaker and part time Pharmacy Tech. Ruth’s husband, Kerry Spencer, passed in 2011. She is survived by her daughter, Bettye Murray, son, Larry Spencer, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three brothers, a sister and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, March 18 from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral starting at 10 a.m. at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave. The burial will take place privately in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Germantown, TN.
