Soongthlooh Wong

Soongthlooh Wong, 93, passed away on November 13, 2025. Born in China and later making her home in Memphis, Tennessee in 1983, Soongthlooh lived a long, full life centered on family, resilience, and strength. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her three children: her eldest daughter, Pui Yee Wong, and her husband Siu Tong Wong, and their children Jacky Wong and his wife Ayla Wong and their daughters Yuna and Mina, Mickey Wong and his wife Brittany Wong and their daughters Emory and Avery, and Caryn Wong; her son, Yit Hong Wong, and his wife Melanie Wong, and their children Eric Wong and his wife Samantha Wong, and Jennifer Wong and her husband Cheng Qiu; and her youngest daughter, Pui Bing Wong and her husband Peter Lau, and their children Mandy Shum, Kevin Shum and his wife Daneem and their son Juno, Leon Shum, Nicole Lau and her husband Garrett Story, Aron Lau and his wife Jessica Nieves, and Kyna Lau.

Soongthlooh devoted her life to caring for those around her. Her home was a place of warmth, generosity, and unwavering love. Her quiet wisdom, gentle humor, and enduring devotion shaped generations of family who will carry her memory forward.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 9:00–10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM, at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119.

After the funeral service, there will be a procession to Soongthlooh’s residence in Germantown to symbolically bring her home, before returning for the committal service at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119, from 11:45 AM–12:15 PM.
