

Thomas "Tom" Hawkins, a beloved and kind-hearted individual, passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on January 1, 1944, in Lake Wales, Florida, Tom was known for his compassionate, patient, and honest nature.
Tom attended Haywood County High School, in Brownsville, Tennessee and furthered his education at Lambuth College for two years before graduating from Memphis State University. His dedication to his career was evident as he served as a District Manager for Maybelline for over 25 years, retiring in 2009. Tom was also a faithful member of the Gideons and Bellevue Baptist Church, where he actively participated in Sunday School.
For 55 years, Tom was married to Nancy Mayfield Hawkins. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald R. Hawkins (Brenda), four nieces, Holly Hawkins Clark (Trey), Kimberly Laughlin (Danny), Lee Pryor Mullen (Steve), Hilarie Pryor Bain (Kevin), and numerous great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Russell Hawkins and Patsy Newsom Hawkins.
An avid fisherman, Tom found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was a wonderful uncle, friend, and mentor to his family, leaving behind a legacy of love and wisdom.
In recognition of his life and contributions, memorials may be made to The Gideons. Tom's faithful and compassionate spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
