My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Wendell.  He was a very special person.  

I met Wendell when he started work at American Yeast in March 2006.  He was one of the most likable, friendly and trustworthy persons that I have ever known.  Many times, his sense of humor was a 'spark of light' that would help brighten up my day.  He was a true sporting fan whether it was the Grizzlies, Tigers, Redbirds, or Riverkings, and he loved to talk about any sporting subject.  I know he will be missed greatly, but the memories of Wendell will always be with us.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.  Prayers to the family during this most difficult time. Miss you my dear friend and co worker.

To the Catron family. May God give you comfort and peace during this time of loss. Wendell waved his last farewell to me that Monday Feb.12th as I passed him in his yard. He will be missed dearly for he was a long time neighborhood friend...so  RIP my friend.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your loved one. I too went to South Side. At times like this we all need comforting. May the God of all comfort be with your family at this time.

I am so saddened to have heard of the lost of Wendell, he was like a dear brother to me. We grew up together as teenagers, on TRIGG Ave. catching a ride to Southside High School with 'Honey' Mr. Catron. Wendell would make everyone around him laugh with tears. But these tears I've shedded are very different. My heart and my condolences goes out to the Catron Family, they are my family to. With all my Love..
