William Cyrus Pritchard, 94, of Bartlett, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023. Mr. Pritchard was preceded in death by his late wife of 39 years, Marie Morales Pritchard; mother, Dora Scott Pritchard; aunts, Nora Hillhouse and Sadie Scott; and sister, Ruth Holle. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Helen Wright Pritchard; daughter, Judith Pritchard Hicks; grandson, Matthew Hicks (Chris); three bonus children: Mac Bailey (Audrey), David Bailey (Pat), and Debbie Gray (Logan); and many bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Pritchard served our country in the United States Navy from 1946-1950. During his Navy service he worked as an aircraft mechanic and firefighter. After his military service, he worked for American Airlines. He retired as an operations manager after 37 years. During his younger years he was an avid golfer. During his free time, he enjoyed watching Alabama Crimson Tide football and Memphis Tigers and Grizzlies basketball. One of his greatest joys in life was being “Grandpa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mr. Pritchard was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Fountain of Truth Pentecostal Church. He and Helen enjoyed reading the Bible and doing a daily devotion together while having their morning coffee. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Fountain of Truth on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 12-1 pm with a funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
