“Take time to smell the roses.” Proverb
Anna Katherine Jackson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in
Hemet, California.
Anna was born on Tuesday, May 7, 1929 in East Los Angeles. Her parents were
Galen & Rose Waite. Anna had one older brother, Martin and one sister, Mary.
Anna’s love blossomed when she met Floyd. They met at Sears when Anna was
trying to sell cookies. They married on November 21, 1948 in California.
Two years later, their first child, Pamela was born. Within 5 years, Anna and
Floyd had 4 kids: Pamela, Randy, Rose, & Linda. Then 11 years later, Richard was
born, followed by Katie. In 1969, the Jackson family was completed.
After 8 years of marriage, Anna and Floyd built their first home in Whittier on
Honeysuckle Lane. The Honeysuckle house was always home to Anna. 2 years
after living there, Anna and Floyd added a pool. Even though Anna did not know
how to swim. She made sure her children knew how to.
Anna loved roses, watching her kids water skiing while she sat on the beach. She
loved spending time with her family.
The Jackson family continued to grow from 1977 to 2018 with 13 grandchildren
and 13 great grandchildren. All of her grandkids are a blessing from the Lord.
Many memories were created at Honeysuckle Lane and Canyon Lake for the
Jackson family.
Just 4 days before Anna’s passing, she was surrounded by love with her family at
Michaela and Jack’s wedding in Las Vegas. During the wedding, she was dancing
in her wheelchair and having fun with her family. At the pool, she was splashing
her grandchildren with water. For the past year, her goal was to make it to her
granddaughter’s wedding. She accomplished her goal.
Anna is survived by her children and their spouses: Pamela and Allen Lang,
Randy Jackson, Rose and Chris King, Linda and Terry Nelson, Richard and Donna
Jackson, Katie and Rick Sanders. She is also survived by her grandchildren:
Stephen, Vanessa, Carrie, Wesley, Andrew, Sara, Stacy, Julie, Brad, Richie,
Michaela, Amanda, and Ben.
May she rest in peace with her husband, Floyd Jackson.
