Delores (Dee) M. Seel, age 86, of Sun City, California has been born to eternal life on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Pacifica Senior Living in Menifee. Delores was born in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin at Milwaukee County General Hospital on June 13th,1938 to Marvin and Rose Schmoll.
Delores spent her youth in various parts of Wisconsin, including Elkhorn, Milwaukee, Veefkind, and Stratford, where she graduated high school as a proud Stratford Tiger with the class of 1956. Following high school, she moved back to Milwaukee to attend nursing school at Columbia Hospital before marrying Kard J. Pierce II in 1957. They went on to have three children together, Kard III, Keith and Kelly, settling in Brown Deer, Wisconsin. Delores eventually remarried William L. Seel.
Dee was a hard-working woman, who was fervently devoted to raising her three children. She had a long career at Milwaukee Medical Clinic as a supervisor of 35 years in the reception and appointment areas of Pediatrics. Upon her adult children leaving home, Delores went back to school at Milwaukee Area Technical College in her late 40’s to complete her degree in Business, Supervisory Management, for which her entire family displayed their pride at her accomplishment, finally completing her own personal lifetime goal!
Delores was a devout Christian woman who was very active for over thirty years in the WELCA (Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) organization both in Milwaukee at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Brown Deer, Wisconsin and also at Faith Lutheran Church in Sun City, California. Blessed with a selfless nature and a generous heart, she consistently embraced the Lutheran tradition of hospitality which included serving “Pot Luck” dinners to many over the years.
On July 17, 1982, Delores and William Seel were married at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church (Brown Deer) and combined two beautiful families. Delores embraced her three stepsons and cherished the time she and Bill spent with their family as it grew beyond children, to grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dee and Bill spent all the time they could at their place on Little Green Lake in Wisconsin where they had endearing friends and loved to make memories there with their family over the twenty years they owned it. In 2007, Bill and Dee moved to Sun City, California to spend more time with family located there and enjoy the area they both loved to visit. In reality, it was to stay warm from all the cold years spent in the frozen tundra of Wisconsin! Dee and Bill were married for 40 years before Bill’s death in March of 2023.
