Marcelo was born on January 7, 1976, in Los Angeles, California, and was a lifelong resident of Southern California. He was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of many. Marcelo loved sports, travel, music, off-roading, and spending quality time with family and friends.
He could often be found supporting the achievements and celebrating the milestones of those he loved. He enjoyed spoiling his nieces and nephews with trips to theme parks and attending concerts with his siblings and friends. Marcelo was an avid U2 fan and never missed the chance to see a local show.
He frequently attended Dodgers games with friends and family and, for the love of the game, visited many baseball stadiums across the country during his travels. He could also often be found cheering on his other favorite teams: the Kansas City Chiefs, LA Lakers, and LA Kings.
Marcelo built a successful career in the medical insurance industry, where, among his many professional accomplishments, he formed incredible friendships with coworkers.
Later in life, he developed a passion for off-roading and began attending desert trips with family. Eventually, he purchased a Jeep Wrangler and joined the group on the trails with his sidekick, KC, his yellow Labrador.
Marcelo leaves behind his mother, two siblings and their spouses, three nephews, five (soon to be six) nieces, and many extended family members and friends. Marcelo will be deeply missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Miller-Jones Menifee Memorial Park.
