Pete was born July 17, 1929 in Bethlehem, PA, the youngest of 4 children of Julia and Peter Fabozzi.
Pete and the late Eleanor Smith eloped and married on February 27, 1950. Their union lasted 63 years and produced 3 children – Jim, Dennis and Lisa – 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Pete and Elle moved their young family to California in 1955 where Pete completed his undergraduate and masters degrees in mechanical engineering. Education was important to him. Pete spent many exciting years working as an aerospace engineer.
During those years he was also active with his children in Boy Scouts and Little League. After the kids left home Pete switched gears and for several years worked for an international mining company (Baker) and travelled the world. When asked what he knew about mining he said..”not a lot, but engineering is engineering.”
Late in life he spent years at home caring for his beloved Elle and getting to know his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Tuesday, May 13 11:00AM at St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church in Sun City.
