July 7,1943 – August 8, 2025
Ronald H. Campbell, 82, was born in the northwest New Jersey area where he lived his early years of life. Ron enjoyed the rural area and would go fishing in his free time. During the summers, Ron worked on area farms. As a young man he joined the local Masonic Lodge and eventually became a 32nd Degree Freemason.
Ron and his wife raised their children in the Midwest where he enjoyed time with his family canoeing along rivers, working on project vehicles, and riding horses in the countryside. What began as a passion for working with his hands, evolved into opening his own construction company.
For over 45 years he continued his career as a construction company owner. Most of his career was in the Midwest. Later, Ron moved to Hawaii and continued with his construction company. Enjoying the swims in the geothermally heated natural hot pools, spending time with friends, and bird watching were his favorite past times in Hawaii.
Upon retirement, Ron and his wife moved to California where they lived most of the time. There, he greatly enjoyed golfing with his close friends, cross country travel in his RV, ocean cruises, and bird watching.
Ron was a wonderful husband and father and always put his family first in his life. He was kindhearted and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Ron is survived by his wife, Phyllis Campbell; son, Paul (Jacki) Campbell; daughter, Susan (Matthew) Campbell-Boland; 3 grandchildren Kimberly (Calvin) Idell, Matt (Jaci) Campbell, and Dylan Boland; and 7 great-grandchildren.
