Born on February 4th, 1933, he lived a long, faithful life marked by service, devotion, and quiet strength. He was just weeks away from his 93rd birthday.
A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Sterling Elliott served during the Korean War, answering his country’s call with courage. He carried those years with him not as a burden, but as a foundation—shaping a life rooted in discipline, honor, and perseverance.
Nearly seventy years ago, he found the love of his life in his beloved wife, Helen Chausse. Together they built a marriage grounded in faith, commitment, and grace. Their love was loyal— and reflected in shared prayers, shared mornings, and a lifetime of always choosing one another.
Sterling was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He led not by words alone, but by example—through kindness, patience, and an unwavering trust in God’s plan. His faith was steady and sincere, a quiet assurance that carried him through every season of life.
While we grieve his passing, we rejoice in the promise he believed in so deeply: that he is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who went before him, and welcomed into eternal rest by his Savior.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Helen Elliott, his children, Kellee, Kimberlee, Sterling & Garth; his grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren, all of whom were the joy of his life.
