Warren “Socko” Hill peacefully passed away early evening on April 25th, 2023 in his Wildomar home at the age of 90. Warren was born August 1, 1932 in Inglewood California to Rachel Hersey and Warren Hill. He moved shortly there after to the state of Washington with his family. He was 1 of 3 siblings: June (oldest), Warren (middle), Ted (youngest). Some of his childhood hobbies included playing ping pong with his brother Ted and talking to pretty girls. He met his first wife, Lois, and got married in 1952, and soon after had 3 beautiful children; Terri, Vicki, and Jim.
He was a man of many of talents and hobbies. Warren was a Korean War Veteran. He served in the United States Army, and in the United Stated Navy. He enjoyed his time working for Northrop Grumman, an American multinational aerospace and defense technology company. Warren, while he may not have been the best at math he had a passion for physics. He spent his time here as an engineer assistant and loved every moment. He later began his work as a firefighter with the Garden Grove and City of Anaheim fire departments from 1961-1984. In his personal time, Warren also enjoyed being a pilot. He has flown ranging from Mexico to Seattle.
He married his beloved wife Teresa in 1971 and were happily married for the past 51 years. Through this he gained another beautiful son, José.
In his older years, Warren enjoyed volunteering at Elsinore Middle School for their Watch D.O.G.S program, Dads of Great Students. He was also a spiritual man and enjoyed staying involved with church activities. He loved gardening and planting roses at his local church, Grace Point Church of The Nazarene.
Warren loved talking to and meeting new people. He could start up a conversation with just about anyone, be it a person at the table next to him at a breakfast diner or people he met while volunteering. He could truly light up a room with his dad jokes and wit. Any opportunity he got, he enjoyed sharing stories about his family and loved ones.
He is survived by his wife Teresa; his four Children, Terri, Vicki, Jim, and Jose; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. Warren was a wonderful and caring man. He had a big heart and was always helping someone. He’s touched the lives of so many. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
