Angie Favier, better known as Aunt Angie to many of us, was born March 6, 1925 to Joe and Mary Machado in Chowchilla, Ca. She helped her Dad and older brother Joe milk cows and attend the needs of the dairy which did not rank high on her favorite things to do list. She soon got a job at the Red Top Cotton Gin where she met her future husband, Robert (Bob) Favier. They were married in 1954 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Merced.
Aunt Angie loved traveling everywhere. Whether it be overseas, here in the States, Lake Tahoe and Reno or short rides to enjoy the countryside. She was always up for a new adventure. She looked forward to celebrating Easter and Thanksgiving with the Favier clan and was known for her wonderful homemade ice cream and zucchini casserole. Later on in life, she loved Friday night at the Elks for cocktails and dinner and breakfasts on Sunday mornings with the gang. She especially enjoyed when family and friends would randomly stop by for a glass of wine, to visit or to play cards.
Angie is proceeded in death by her husband, Robert E. Favier, after 37 years of marriage; her brother Joe C. Machado and her sister Mary A. Steinert.
Angie is survived by her brother in-law, Byron C. Steinert; her niece, Karen Haberle and her husband, Chet; her nephew, Matt Machado and his wife Angie and her niece, Renee Pistoresi and her husband, Michael. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends that meant the world to her. Aunt Angie was truly loved by many.
