Anna Marie Nelson

Marie Nelson, longtime resident of Snelling, CA transitioned from life in the early hours of May 9th, with her loving husband of 64 years, Jack Nelson by her side. Marie enjoyed her retirement years, driving her Cadillac traveling to visit family and friends, quilting and volunteering with the Rebecca’s. Her life can be described as very full of contentment.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter (Le)Roy and Julie Rose Gile of Depha, KS; siblings, Glenn Gile of Argenta, IL, Aileen (Gile) Denning of Jefferson City, MO, Jean (Gile) Heisley, and Phyllis (Gile) Gould of Concordia, KS; and niece Karen Kempton of Salina, KS.

She leaves behind her loving children, Tom (Debbie) Nelson of San Jose, CA, Steven (Kathleen) Nelson of Tracy, CA, Rick (Connie) Nelson of Garden Valley, CA and Barbara (Nelson) Cates of Sonoma, CA; her pride and joy, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; siblings, Martha Gebhart (Gile) of Salina, KS, Perry Gile of Beatrice, NE, Trudi (Gile) Heide of Abilene, KS, Louis (Gile) Kempton of Pratt, KS, Joan (Gile) Meili of Lincoln, KS, Janet (Gile) Shrader of Concordia, KS, and Beth (Gile) Whitney of Ponca City, OK.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00am at the Snelling Pioneer Cemetery, Merced Falls Rd. (Hwy 59), Snelling, CA.
