Bertha Garcia Mendoza

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mendoza; parents, Carmen and Aurelia Soria; brother, Raul Betencourt and sister, Rose Marie Martinez. Bertha leaves behind her children, Thomas J. Mendoza, John R. (Lupe) Mendoza and Maria D. Lambert; grandchildren, Roque, Aurelia, Rodrigo and Thomas Jr. Mendoza and Matthew and Michelle Lambert; brothers, Phillip, Daniel and Michael Soria; and sisters, Norma Phillips, Genevieve Wancewiez and Mary Ellen Stamm. She also had a special place in her heart for Cris and Celestina Claudio and Takiesha and Andre Smith, who she considered part of her family.

Vigil Service with Rosary will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, California on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. -6:00 p.m. with Recitation of Rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 519 W. 13th St., Merced, California at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
