Charles Dalton Davis was born on April 13, 1935 in Merced, California to James and Mildred Davis. He passed away on March 29, 2018 in Turlock, California. Charles was a resident of Merced for 82 years. He graduated from Merced High School in 1953 and Fresno State University in 1964 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. He then went on to graduate from Chapman College in 1971 with an Administrative Credential. He was a Major in the United States Army Reserve; on the board and scholarship committee of Kiwanis; an Elk for 28 years; the Superintendent/Principal of El Nido Elementary School for 38 years and he also had his single engine private pilot license.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents James and Mildred. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Ursula Davis; his children Kathy (Mike) Miller, Jeff (Karen) Davis, Mike (Julie) Davis; his brother Dean Davis of Richfield, Ohio; his grandchildren, Derik and Brad Miller, Adrianna, Hannah and Aaron Davis, Kelsey and Clayton Davis.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Charles on April 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in Merced, California.
