

Don was a Merchant Marine in World War II, and served 2 years in the Philippines.
He previously lived in Atwater for 50 years. Don loved traveling, he visited the western states, Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Nashville Tennessee and also went to Elvis Presley’s graveside witch was the last trip he took. He loved to dance and be out doors and go camping, as well visit Yosemite and Pismo Beach. Don was a 49ers fan and enjoyed watching football as well as Nascar racing.
Donald is preceded in death by his first wife Helen Milligan and his second wife Ruby, as well as his mother, Cora R. Milligan and father, George Milligan.
He is survived by his son, Mike Milligan (Denice) of Merced, California; stepchildren, Ronnie and Shirley Ann Sing; sister, Gloria Hixon of Torrance, California; grandson, Sean Milligan; and great granddaughter, Hailey Milligan.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home located at 1490 B Street Merced, California 95341 with burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
