Edward Louis Garcia

Eddie Louis Garcia was born on February 20, 1940. He went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel and Aurora Garcia; brothers, Frank, Lupe, Joey Garcia and sister, Teresa Moreno.

Eddie was a loving husband to his wife Lucy Garcia of 56 years; two boys, Tony and David Garcia. He also left behind six grandchildren; David Jr., Salvador, Melissa, Manuel, Latina and Shawn Garcia; and 20 great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Esperanza Rodriguiz, Bennie Caroll, Mary Jane Avila and brother Trinidad Garcia. Eddie loved spending his summers fishing and camping. He was an exceptional storyteller. Eddie was a very hard working man that worked for Merced Union High School District (East Campus). He retired July 22, 2000 after 43 years of service. Eddie will be truly missed by all who knew him. His rosary/mass will be celebrated on May 15, 2018 at 12:00 pm. at Sacred Heart on 13th Street, Merced, California. The burial will follow directly at Calvary Cemetery.
