Estella Burrola

April 11, 1929 – July 23, 2010

Estella Burrola was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico April 11, 1929. She was the third of nine children; the daughter of Josefina and Gilberto Apodaca. Estella attended school in Le Grand, California and after completing her education began as an employee with Planada Packers in 1946; where she worked for 24 years. Estella married her husband of 60 years Marcos Burrola on October 14, 1950 and they lived in Planada, California all of their lives. Estella and Marcos welcomed three children into their family; daughter, Patricia B. Skaggs and sons, Robert G. Burrola and Mark J. Burrola.

Family was a special priority for Estella. She took great joy in caring and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting and keeping close contact with relatives, friends and all of her brothers and sisters.

Members of Estella’s immediate family who were blessed with special moments of Love, Laughter, and Joy with her are husband, Marcos Burrola; children, Pat and Rick Skaggs, Bob and Vicki Burrola, and Mark and Catalina Burrola; grandchildren, Erick and Lorena Burrola, Suzanne and David McGhee, Marcus Burrola and Micaela Burrola; and great grandchildren, Evan Burrola, Race Burrola and Gavin McGhee.

The Lord decided to gather Mothers Heart and Soul on July 23, 2010. He could no longer wait for this precious flower he so yearned to add to His garden.

Our death is not an end

If we can live in our Children,

For they are us,

Our bodies are only leaves

On the tree of life.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a recitation of the rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Planada. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Planada. Burial will follow at Plainsburg Cemetery.
