

Evelyn was born December 2, 1929 in Laverne, Oklahoma to parents Rufus and Agnes Andrews.
Evelyn grew up the youngest of 4 siblings during the Dust Bowl and Great Depression. She lived with her family in Oklahoma and the Bay Area most of her childhood. Later they moved to Snelling California where Evelyn attended Merced High School as a Junior.
Evelyn spent 45 wonderful years married to Jack Albrecht living in Peru for six year and then on the Snelling Ranch. After Jack passed in 1993, Evelyn found companionship again with Harold Mudge, who brought joy and adventure to her for many years.
Evelyn enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her son with Jack and later babysitting her grandchildren. Living on the ranch in Snelling, Evelyn irrigated and helped care for the cattle. Throughout the years, Evelyn held several part time jobs including bus driver for Snelling School, waitress in Snelling, and retail clerk and meat wrapper in Merced.
Evelyn enjoyed visiting and playing cards with her friends and family. She was an avid Bridge player. She was in several Bridge groups. She enjoyed antiquing with friends. Antique stores were destinations in many of her RV road trips with Jack and friends.
Evelyn is survived by her loving son Doug (Teri) Albrecht; grandchildren Keith (Ashlee) Albrecht and Tara Albrecht; great grandchildren Logann, Brock, Ben and Skylar; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Jack Albrecht, devoted second husband and treasured companion Harold Mudge; mother and father, Rufus and Agnes Andrews, her brothers Leo Andrews and Jim Andrews and sister Beatrice Cline.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday May 7, 2026 at Snelling Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
