Flora Marie Herrera

Marie lived all around the world due to being raised from a military family. However, she spent the last 35 years in Merced working as a Customer Service Representative.

She enjoyed traveling, crocheting, BBQ’s at the lake, playing Bingo, spending time with friends, family and her grandsons. You could catch her on many occasions eating the ice from Sonic, she loved it. She loved pecan pie and had a passion for Chihuahuas and angels.

Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Dessa Mae; father, Willie Joe; and sisters, Rita and Cindy.

She leaves behind her husband, Michael Herrera; children, Marita Valadez and Joey Norrell both from Merced; grandchildren, Dominic, Lawrence, Xavier, Samuel and Willie Joe all from Merced; brother, Leon Norrell from Houston, TX; and sister, Tina Bowden (John) from Sacramento.

A visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B St., Merced, CA on May 5, 2013 from 2:00pm-6:00pm with Recitation of Rosary to follow at 6:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mercy, corner of Canal & 21st, Merced, CA on May 6, 2013 at 10:00am.
