

Jada Savannah May, age 26, a native of Merced, passed away on April 11, 2026. Born February 5, 2000, Jada will be remembered for a spirit that remained bright and uplifting—always happy, positive, and full of life—along with laughter that came easily and a heart that made room for others. She lived in Antioch, California, and carried with her the warmth of home and the steady presence of someone who brought light to the days of those around her.
Jada worked as a security guard, a role that reflected her dependable nature and quiet strength—showing up, staying attentive, and offering reassurance through calm vigilance and care.
Jada is survived by her husband, Curtis R. May; her parents, Helsa Jourdan and Jaime Moreno Sr.; and her stepdad, Raymond Jourdan. She is also survived by her brothers, Jaime Moreno Jr. (Veronica Hernandez), Prince Moreno, Angel Yglesias, and Isaiah Yglesias; her sisters, Destiny Singh (Sukhvir Singh), Angelica Moreno, and Natasha Griffin; and her grandparents, Daniel Arce and Lupe Arce. Jada is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Ezekiel, Genesis, Liliana, Annalis, Annalia, Calista Moreno, and A'aleiyah, A'shanti, A'zeiyah Le'crease Miguel.
Jada was preceded in death by Grandma Trinidad Jimenez and Cousin Brandon Latronica.
Visitation will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, CA 953416304, on May 5, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Burial will be held at Calvary Cemetery, 260 W Childs Ave, Merced, CA 95341, on May 5, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
