Jerry Trujillo Torres

Jerry Torres, 80, from Chowchilla, California, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Merced, California after a battle with lung cancer. Jerry is survived by his wife of 58 years, Connie Torres of Chowchilla, California. He is also survived by his sons Jerry Troy Torres of Neligh, Nebraska, his son Jeffery Torres of Chowchilla, California, and daughters Judy Lewis of Norfolk, Nebraska, and Lina Flores of Chowchilla, California. His granddaughter from Chowchilla, California, and his great-grandchildren from Neligh, Nebraska, survive him.

He is preceded in death by his mother Maria Torres, His father, Jose Torres, and his brothers, Juan, Andres, Jose, Jerry, Mariano, and Mitchell Torres. Also preceded in death are his sisters Margret, Dionicia, Elida, Maria Tomasa, and Gloria.

Jerry was a veteran of the US Army and served his country honorably. His service will never be forgotten.

Before his passing, Jerry was retired and remained active with the Madera Grace Tabernacle Church in Madera, California as the sound engineer, head translator, graphics operator, and assistant to Pastor Gilbert Flores. This is where Jerry was most happy and could offer most of his time while battling his illness.

A celebration of life was held At Madera Grace Tabernacle Church on July 28th, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. The family requests that any flower donations or monetary donations be made in his name to Madera Grace Tabernacle Church 16294 Madera, CA 93637.
