Joaquina Sanchez, age 49, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 in Modesto, California. Joaquina was born in Merced, California on September 6, 1975 to her parents Mary and Homero T Zepeda. Joaquina worked in customer care.
She is survived by her husband Javier Sanchez Jr.; her children Jose, Julian, Adan and Samantha; her mom Mary Zepeda; brothers Samuel Zepeda, Homero Zepeda, Otilio Zepeda, Rigo Zepeda, John Rodriguez and Joe Rodriguez; sisters Gloria Rodriguez, Jeannie Ramirez, Irene Villanueva, Hope Zepeda, Becky Zepeda and Aurora Zepeda; and her grandchild Milah.
Joaquina is preceded in death by her father Homero T Zepeda Sr.; grandparents Remigo and Joaquina Zepeda; sisters Jo Ann Rodriguez and Joyce Sanchez and Rita Zepeda.
A Rosary will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 10:30 a.m. at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street Merced, CA 95341. Burial will be held at Plainsburg Cemetery, 8943 Gillette Avenue Le Grand, CA 95333, with a reception following at Le Grand Veterans Memorial Building, 12560 Le Grand Road, Le Grand, CA 95333.
