John Henry Blanchard Sr., also known as Sneed, was born on May 27, 1938 in Baltimore, Maryland. John was one of twelve children born to Margaret and Snider Blanchard. John passed away on December 5, 2014 at the age of 76 years. At the time of his passing, John resided in Merced, California with his wife Dorothy and step-grandson, Michael Kelly.
Upon graduation from high school, John joined the United States Air Force where he served and traveled the world for twenty years. While stationed in England he met and married his first wife, Anne of thirteen years and had three children. Upon his retirement from the military, John moved to Merced where he met and married Dorothy whom he spend the rest of his life with.
John had a passion for golf and was also well known for his laugh. He was a fighter! His family and many friends will sorely miss him, but his loving spirit lives on in the countless lives he touched.
John is survived by his wife, Dorothy Blanchard; daughters, Monique Eutsey and Joanne Blanchard; son, John Blanchard Jr; sisters, Bonnie, Josephine, and Roberta; 6 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
