Jonathan William Bliss

Born on July 31, 1986, in Bishop, California, to Tamber Lynn Bliss and Randy Bliss, Jonathan was a dedicated butcher and grocery store night stocker who approached his work with steady hands and unwavering dependability.

He found deep joy in anime, video games, playing Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) with friends, and immersing himself in fantasy books filled with magic, epic quests, and heroic tales.

Despite our family’s many efforts to support him through his challenges with alcohol, he remained our cherished son—thoughtful, loyal, and deeply loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Tamber Lynn Bliss and Randy Bliss; his sister, Samantha Nicole Bliss; his brother, Robert Tyler Bliss, his wife, and their children; and a wide circle of family members and friends who shared countless adventures with him.

Cremation has been arranged. A celebration of life will be held at Stratford Evans Merced Funeral Home, 1490 B Street, Merced, on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.
